Skills and Drills

Skills and Drills is a large group (12 players) training session that will help you become a more consistent pickleball player by practicing the basic skills of pickleball. Your OPA-APO instructor will give some basic instruction to demonstrate a skill and then provide drills for you to practice to improve your game. Do not expect detailed individual coaching.

Every colour will work on the following skills over the six weeks of training:
Serves and Returns, Dinks, Third shot drops, Volleys, Groundstrokes (drives and lobs), overheads and resets. Each week will focus on a particular skill for two hours. (Game play occurs only in three hour sessions.)
The remaining weeks of the session will have a mixture of instructor-led drills which will reinforce all the skills practiced in the first six weeks.
