We are holding intake assessment sessions on Saturday, July 5 and Sunday, July 20 for potential new members who have experience playing pickleball.
You can only register for one session and must register for a colour level based on your self assessment of your level. (To see descriptions, select Play -> League Information from the menu above).
Prior to registering for one of the intake sessions, we strongly encourage you to carefully review the description of the various colour criteria. It is always better to underestimate your skills as if you put yourself at the incorrect level, we may have difficulty assessing your play relative to others.
Players will be assessed during 20 minute sessions by our trained evaluators who will be assessing the skills criteria. Players will receive an assessment result and will be placed on a pre-assessed list of players. The list will be “time stamped”, which means that players who registered earlier will be higher in the list. Once the OPA-APO has completed its fall registration, in late July or early August, we will know how many spaces we have open in our leagues and will use this list of players to fill the gaps. Players would then be offered the opportunity to join the OPA-APO through the purchase of a membership ($50) and will be able to join leagues and clinics.
